Superman leads off this week with a standard hero v monster composition delivered nicely. I like the rock monster and the way it divides the cover in to two differently coloured parts. I also like the way the it is the monster that dominates the cover and not Superman.
There seems to be a stylistic Batman cover every week at the moment and this week it comes from Batwing (again).
Batman makes a second appearance with Detective Comics mostly thanks to all the bats.
Hinterkind, on the Vertigo label, is not a superhero comic, and it shows with its unusual water colour effect and sci-fi/fantasy cover. It is strikingly different.
